Trucking Teds - Rowlan & Hilda

There are two Large Teddy Bears making their way around the country raising funds for Rowland Hill.

Rowlan and Hillda are two 5-foot brown bears who were saved from the Retail Rainforest and are now being fostered by the Performance and Efficiency Team until we can find them a good home in time for Christmas.

Rowlan and Hillda will be travelling the country looking for a forever home selling raffle tickets along the way.  They have completed their online and vehicle training and are on their way……..

On their journey Rowlan and Hilda are selling cuddles, raffle tickets to win one of two bears and many other fantastic prizes.

2 Bears, 2 Weeks, 890 miles in two weeks, raising £1.58 per mile and numerous raffle tickets sold all for the Rowland Hill Fund. Yes, Rowlan and Hillda have completed their second week, (3 more weeks to go).

At the end of their journey Rowlan and Hilda will have a well earned celebration at the Rowland Hill Christmas Party in London on the 18th December.

Successful Long Service Event - £1075 Raised!

Another successful Long Service Event yesterday at The Queens Hotel, Leeds, hosted by Service Delivery Leader Simon Scott.

Janet and Leanne worked hard all day, with the help of Karen Scott, selling raffle tickets for prizes such as a Fitbit, Supercar Experience, flowers, photoshoot, Champagne and Gin sets, Fragrance sets and Easter Eggs.

The support and generosity of the attendees resulted in a whopping £1075 raised for The Rowland Hill Fund!  Leeds MC manager Rob Davies lead the ticket draw and made a speech referring to one of his employees who was currently absent from work due to Cancer and The Fund had assisted him greatly during this time, by paying 4 months of his mortgage.  It was a really great day of not only fundraising but raising awareness too.  Thanks to all for their support.
